Why is it that whenever I am away for a long period of time(eg, India last year, US now) I suddenly start having vegemite on a regular basis? Don't get me wrong, I'm as dinky-di as the next girl, but I'd only have it once a week or something if I was back home (unlike my Mum who has had vegemite toast and a cup of tea for brekky for the past 40+ years). For some reason, being away from home compels me to have it more.
Does air travel change tastebuds or is it some strange way of trying to feel as though I do belong somewhere?
